Sheraton Textiles Holdings (Pty) Ltd was founded in 1920 with a small group of staff and a few machines. It has since advanced and expanded, escalating its growth of locally manufactured goods and now employs over 550 employees of different backgrounds, social strata, cultures, religions and genders – representing the diversity of our South African heritage.

Addressing disparities is a priority, and to this end, women represent over 80% of our workforce. We have a formidable team of employees who are dedicated, committed, loyal and engaged. We are proud of our Sheraton Textiles family.

Sheraton Textiles is 100% owned by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), a state-owned financial development institution which reports to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), and is currently one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of household textiles in South Africa.

We have pioneered various household brands, including Sheraton Textiles Portfolio, Signature, Superior, and our most recent baby range, “Little Linen by Sheraton Textiles.” Our expansive product offering includes a variety of duvet inners, pillows, comforters, duvet covers and sheeting, quilts, scatter cushions, mattress protectors, base wraps for all bed sizes, curtaining, tablecloths and napery. Our exclusive embroidery designs are strikingly beautiful and delicate, and gratify our valued customers with exquisite, luxurious products to suit every lifestyle.

We believe in giving back to our community – to support the people who have helped us grow. We thus support a number of social initiatives to serve that purpose. We hold a Level 2 B-BBEE status and support upcoming entrepreneurs by providing sponsorships, bursaries and educational funds to qualifying participants. This includes members and dependants of our staff, non-profit organisations, small business enterprises, and talented individuals who need assistance to pursue their dreams and realise their goals.

Sheraton Textiles employees are the heartbeat of our business – it is their toil that powers our machines and keeps our business alive. We therefore care for their health, wellbeing and future. We have an in-house medical clinic that serves not only our employees but those from surrounding factories as well. Each month, we provide food parcels to factory employees and we fund and run soup kitchens in our surrounding areas.

We are an environmentally friendly factory and continually strive to maintain clean operations – we do not emit waste into the air, land or sea. Our wastepaper is recycled and non-sellable products are donated for home use to people from surrounding underprivileged communities. We endeavour to uphold and conserve a clean, responsible, socially acceptable and unpolluted environment at all times.
